Thank you to MRTs (Medical Radiation Technologists) and DMSs (Sonographers), essential frontline healthcare professionals who provide patients requiring diagnostic imaging services with the highest quality of care, compassion, and professionalism.
In the fall of 2019, Accreditation Canada (AC) and the Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare (IQMH) announced an agreement to join forces bringing the longest standing healthcare accreditation body in Canada and Canada’s largest provider of medical laboratory accreditation and proficiency testing together. In October 2019, IQMH became a controlled affiliate of AC to advance a common goal of improving the quality of healthcare in Canada and around the world.
IQMH is resuming accreditation assessment activities as of October 26 using a revised approach. To the extent possible, we will be conducting assessments remotely in order to reduce the number of assessors on-site to as few as possible for the shortest time needed. You will be contacted by the Staff Technologist assigned to your assessment with specific details. Thank you for your continued cooperation at this difficult time.

We are pleased to announce that the laboratory at Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) has achieved ISO 15189 Plus™ accreditation.
June 9, 2020 marks World Accreditation Day (#WAD2020) a global initiative, jointly established by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and International Accreditation Forum (IAF), to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation.
On behalf of all of us at IQMH, we would like to offer our thanks to our laboratory colleagues during this difficult COVID-19 pandemic.
