From October 28 – November 1, IQMH is recognizing Canadian Patient Safety Week (CPSW) to raise awareness about health care harm and its effects on the health care system.
Each year, Healthcare Excellence Canada leads the CPSW campaign to inspire improvements in health care safety and quality. This year’s focus is on broadening the understanding of health care harm to rethink patient safety. Health care harm matters to those receiving and delivering care. Learning to recognize and reduce health care harm is essential to creating safer care for all.
IQMH prioritizes patient safety through its proficiency testing programs by identifying gaps and areas for improvement in diagnostic testing. These proficiency testing programs are rooted in a culture of continuous quality improvement to reduce health care harm and enhance safety for all.
