As we make our journey together toward safer care and a healthier world, our 2022 Year of Action report shines a spotlight on the many ways that standards and assessment programs are having a positive impact on health care. This report highlights the progress made in collaboration with our partners to address the most challenging quality and safety issues in today’s global health ecosystem.

By leveraging insights from the pandemic crisis, lessons from the past, and emerging trends from around the globe, we worked hand in hand with stakeholders to co-create innovative solutions that enhance the quality of health care and social services. While much more is to be done, 2022 was a foundational year towards addressing some of the toughest quality and safety challenges, including those arising from workforce pressures, systemic racism, carbon footprints and the crisis in long-term care.
