We are thrilled to welcome Haleh Bahrami as the Director of the Centre for Proficiency Testing at IQMH. Haleh brings a wealth of experience, guiding her team to advance the quality and relevance of our proficiency testing programs in a rapidly evolving field.

Her strategic leadership focuses on tailoring services for future health care and laboratory landscapes, fostering valuable key interest holder partnerships and collaborating closely with scientific committees to shape innovative surveys and provide performance insights.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Haleh has held several high-impact roles, most recently as a Healthcare Operations Executive Consultant for Accreditation Canada. Here she played a pivotal role in developing frameworks for over 900 community surgical and diagnostic centres in Ontario, focusing on quality care, services, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Her previous experience includes serving as VP of Laboratory Operations at LifeLabs Laboratory Services, where she oversaw operational excellence for 13 laboratories nationally. Prior to LifeLabs, she worked at Canadian Blood Services, starting as a medical laboratory technologist and progressing to senior leadership roles.

Haleh holds a Master’s in Leadership with a health care focus from Royal Roads University. A champion for advancing women in science, she actively mentors the next generation.

Based in Vancouver, BC, Haleh enjoys travel, culinary exploration, and spending time with her partner, two children, and family., She also loves taking long walks on the seawall or hiking trails with her dog
