From April 14–20, IQMH is joining the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) to celebrate National Medical Laboratory Week. This week highlights the indispensable contributions of Medical Laboratory Professionals (MLPs) in the health care system.
Each April, The Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) recognizes the critical role of medical laboratory professionals in the health care system.
The week of April 10th–16th 2022, saw us all celebrate National Medical Laboratory Week in honour of medical laboratory professionals and the crucial work they do that is essential to health care.
IQMH shone a light on the excellence of the medical laboratory community by highlighting the indigo laboratory coat which serves as an iconic symbol of the noble profession.
Did you know that Ontario medical professionals have processed and analyzed over 13 million COVID-19 tests, and complete over 244.8 million laboratory tests annually for other conditions?
IQMH is proud to recognize the many accomplishments of medical diagnostic professionals across the country. Medical laboratory professionals play a pivotal role in providing quality patient care. The demands are high and the important work that takes place behind the scenes is critical in guiding medical decisions about patient health. Having various specializations within the profession, medical laboratory professionals are trained with the specific knowledge and skills to perform their individual roles. We thank you for your dedication and resilience!
