Every external assessment tells a story. This year, IQMH’s external audit with the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) told a powerful one: our teams deliver quality with purpose, expertise, and a clear focus on the laboratories we serve.
As part of the renewal assessment against ISO/IEC 17043:2023, IQMH completed a rigorous A2LA review with zero non-conformities. This result demonstrates the strength of our programs, the expertise of our teams, and the reliability clients expect from a trusted external quality assessment partner.
We celebrate this achievement because it matters to our clients. It reinforces confidence in the programs, guidance, and support laboratories rely on to strengthen quality and patient care.
The assessment team recognized what many of our clients already know: IQMH staff care deeply about the impact of their work. Assessors noted that our people understand how their efforts support laboratory quality and patient care, and that they take pride in helping laboratories improve. One comment captured this sentiment perfectly: "Your staff know they are making a difference, and they are justifiably proud."
The audit also identified practical opportunities to make our services even stronger for clients. We can clarify guidance on sample handling and referrals, align scoring approaches more closely with real-world laboratory workflows, streamline homogeneity and stability processes, and expand innovative proficiency testing offerings that help laboratories identify risks, improve performance, and build confidence in their results.
These observations give us more than recommendations. They give us direction. They sharpen our focus, spark new ideas, and guide improvements that help laboratories achieve excellence with greater clarity and confidence.
At IQMH, we do not treat quality as a destination we reach once every accreditation cycle. We build it every day through management reviews, internal audits, annual accreditation reviews, and ongoing reflection. The recent assessment validated that foundation and gave us a clear path to strengthen the client experience even further.
