We are thrilled to welcome Haleh Bahrami as the Director of the Centre for Proficiency Testing at IQMH. Haleh brings a wealth of experience, guiding her team to advance the quality and relevance of our proficiency testing programs in a rapidly evolving field.

IQMH is seeking volunteers to sit on its Proficiency Testing Scientific Committee(s), effective January 2025. Membership on committees consists of a three-year term of office, renewable once. Committees meet an average of four times a year for half-day or full-day meetings.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a serious threat to patient safety and worldwide public health. The diminishing effectiveness of current antimicrobials, including antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals, against resistant organisms is a major concern. Infections acquired in health care settings contribute to prolonged hospital stays, higher mortality rates, and increased utilization of health care resources.
