The Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare, Proficiency Testing, is seeking pathologists skilled in the assessment of histological and immunohistochemical stains to serve as assessors for the Pathology Proficiency Testing Program.

Pathology Proficiency Testing Program Assessors perform peer evaluations of stains submitted by pathology laboratories in Ontario and other participating provinces as part of a team using preset assessment criteria. Pathology Assessors gain valuable skills that can be used in conducting their own laboratory’s stain quality assessments. Assessors define the amount of time they wish to devote to this activity, and are remunerated for their time and expenses while participating in an assessment. Training will be provided which can be used towards continuing education credits.
