From October 23 –27, IQMH recognizes Canadian Patient Safety Week to inspire improvements in health care safety and quality. Healthcare Excellence Canada collaborates with patients and partners, and leads this annual campaign to advance improvements and changes to enable everyone in Canada to have safe, effective, and high-quality health care.

This year’s theme, Small Changes. Big Impact. Safer Care, focuses on creating a larger impact to deliver care, whether the change is as small as a quick discussion or fostering a curious mindset, exploring new approaches can improve safety for all.

Together with Healthcare Excellence Canada, IQMH understands the importance of how small things can have a big impact when it comes to safer care.

A culture of continuous quality improvement is embedded in IQMH programs through a design approach that addresses current scientific and medical issues in health care. Proficiency testing programs ensure there is a basis for quality improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and areas of improvement to improve safety for all.
