Marked annually on June 9, World Accreditation Day is a global initiative established by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) to raise awareness of the value of accreditation.

The theme of this year’s World Accreditation Day focused on supporting the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs) and how accreditation, along with other quality infrastructure institutions, provides technical foundations that are critical to the functioning of developed and developing societies.
