The Centre for Proficiency Testing is recruiting a Consultant Technologist primarily to manage the Transfusion Medicine Proficiency Testing program. This is a mature program that requires ongoing development and innovation. The successful candidate will be expected to have sufficient flexibility to take on the administration of other programs from time to time as required and IQMH is looking for innovation, ideas and energy to take its proficiency testing to higher levels of excellence.
You will be responsible for collaborating with members of our transfusion medicine scientific committee and IQMH staff to design, plan and implement various medical laboratory proficiency testing models. This includes monitoring laboratory performance and developing quality improvement initiatives. In addition, you will be interacting with participating laboratories to address their sites’ survey inquiries.

The Staff Technologist will be responsible for implementing this new program in 2017 and will report directly to the Associate Director, Accreditation.
