The IQMH Centre for Proficiency Testing has published a document for participants in the Transfusion Medicine proficiency testing program. Review – Crossmatching, developed by members of the IQMH Transfusion Medicine Scientific Committee, summarizes the current scientific literature regarding crossmatching. The document will be reviewed and updated periodically for continued relevance.
On Monday, July 29th 2019, CK (Chang-Keun) Lee joined the Centre for Proficiency Testing team as Consultant Technologist (Transfusion Medicine and Virology). CK comes to IQMH with a strong background in transfusion medicine with current experience from Canadian Blood Services.
This month, IQMH recognizes Allison Collins, MD FRCPC and Laboratory Medical Director at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg, Ontario. Allison has served as a volunteer member of the IQMH Transfusion Medicine Scientific Committee since 2012.
This month IQMH recognizes Danielle Watson, Medical Laboratory Technologist who has served IQMH as a volunteer and member since 2009 and is the chair of the IQMH Transfusion Medicine Scientific Committee.
