On Tuesday, January 27, 2015, Elaine Kerr joined the Centre for Proficiency Testing team as Consultant Technologist (Microbiology). Elaine brings many years of experience working in all aspects of medical microbiology, both here in Canada and abroad.
Elaine graduated as a General Medical Laboratory Technologist from Fanshawe College in 1984. She went on to work at London Health Sciences Centre for seventeen years, five years at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Bermuda and more recently eight years as the Microbiology Senior at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton. She has taken part in numerous committees during her career, most notably Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
Elaine completed her psychology degree in 1992 from Western University, an ART in Microbiology in 1995, and the Laboratory Quality Management Certificate from the University of British Columbia in 2007.
Elaine looks forward to new opportunities as she takes on the Consultant Technologist position.
